Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa (Aug 27, 1910 Sept 5, 1997), Her
work among the poverty-stricken in Kolkata made her one of the world's most famous
people.Born in Macedonia, at 18 she left home to join the Sisters of Loretto. She
received Magsaysay Award, Peace Prize. Templeton Prize, Nobel Peace Prize, and India's
highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna. She was the first and only person to be featured
on an Indian postage stamp while still alive. Sometimes referred to her as the "Angel
of Mercy" and "Saint of the Gutter,". |

Indira Priyadarsini Gandhi
Indira Priyadarsini Gandhi (November 19, 1917
October 31, 1984) was Prime Minister of India from January 19, 1966 to March 24, 1977, and
again from January 14, 1980 until her assassination on October 31, 1984. Daughter of
Jawaharlal Nehru, and mother of another, Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi was one of India's
most remarkable political leaders after independence. Mrs. Gandhi, met her tragic end on
31st October 1984, when she was brutally assassinated by her own guards. |

Lata Mangeshkar
Lata Mangeshkar was born on September 28, 1929 at
Indore. Focusing mainly on Hindi and Marathi film music. She has sung in thirty-five major
Indian languages and has been deemed the Nightingale of India. A middle-class
Maharashtrian family. At the age of five Mangeshkar started working as an actress in
several plays known as "sangeet nataks" in which her father was performing.

Kalpana Chawla

Sudha
Chandran
Sudha Chandran is an actress and former classical dancer who turned to
acting following the loss of one leg in an accident in 1982. The 1984 Telugu film Mayuri
in which she plays herself was inspired by her story. The 1986 film Naache Mayuri was a
Hindi remake of the Telugu original, in which the cast was changed except for Sudha to
suit the North Indian sensibilities. She portrayed the character called "Ramola
Sikand" which became an instant hit. |

born in Mumbai. Coached by her father Imran Mirza she began playing tennis at the age of
