Ingredients

Tomato, chopped 1
Red chilies 3
Garlic flakes, crushed 3
Salt to taste
Tamarind, soaked in hot water 20g
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
sprig curry leaves 1
rasam powder 1 tsp
turmeric 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder 1tsp
Few cilantro leaves

Preparation Method

  • Heat oil in a pan, fry the mustard and cumin seeds, red chilies and curry leaves until they splutter.
  • Then add crushed garlic and fry until it gets golden brown. Also add chopped tomatoes, turmeric and cook for a while until the tomatoes get soft.
  • Now add tamarind water, salt, rasam powder, chili powder and water if required.
  • Boil them until bubbles appear on them. Remove from heat and garnish with cilantro leaves.
