Ingredients
| Gram flour(Besan/Kadalapodi) |

| Sugar |
1 Tsp |
| Oil |
1 Tsp |
| Ginger paste |
1 Tsp |
| Green chilli paste |
1 Tsp |
| Salt |
As reqd |
| Lemon juice |
1 Tsp |
| Water |
180 Ml |
| Turmeric powder |
1/2 Tsp |
| Fruit Salt |
1 Tsp |
For seasoning: |
| Oil |
1 Tsp |
| Mustard seeds |
1 Tsp |
| Asafoetida(Kayam) and Fenugreek seeds(Uluva) |
1/4 Tsp |

Preparation Method
1) Mix all ingredients except fruit salt and
make a smooth batter.
2) Keep aside for 10 mins.
3) Take a pan of boiling water ready to steam
the dhoklas.
4) Grease a plate with oil.
5) Add the fruit salt to the batter and mix
well. It will become frothy.
6) Pour into the prepared plate and steam in a
closed pan for 10 mins. Do not add whistle.
7) Leave it to cool for 5 mins.
8) Cut into pieces and invert plate onto bigger
plate.
9) Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
10) Add the ingredients for seasoning and pour
this over the prepared dhoklas.
11) Garnish with fresh coriander and coconut.
Baking soda can be substituted instead of fruit salt.
